about me
°❀.ೃ࿔* hi! my name is mel fischer (they/them) i am a junior at the university of delaware studying visual communications. i have been taking photos on my DSLR in my free time starting from age 13 but have always been drawn to any camera from even prior to that. aspiring creative/art director —what inspires me the most are music, movies and my puerto rican heritage which in turn play a big part in my art and are reflected in it– no matter the medium. i grew up on the jersey shore and went to high school on the beach so a lot of my upbringing was very conscious of having love/taking care for the planet we live on which i believe influences my art as well. some of my favorite musical artists are fleetwood mac, david bowie, donna summer, harry nilsson, the marias, bad bunny, steely dan, the doors + strfkr. my favorite directors are ridley scott, david lynch + john waters. i would describe my art as expression of humanness, culture and emotion that drives us this can be seen in all aspects of my work. three goals i look forward to working towards in my photography course would be setting management, film development + betterment in focusing lenses *࿔ೃ.❀°
